Jack Harte, the acclaimed novelist and short story writer, will read at our launch night on Friday July 30th in the Irish Writers' Centre.
Jack's first novel In the Wake of the Bagger was described by the Irish Independent as "one of the great books about Ireland" and selected by Des Kenny, Ireland's most famous bookseller, as one of his 101 Irish Books You Must Read. His second novel Reflections in a Tar-Barrel, was first published in Bulgarian translation - the rights having been sold for five cases of vintage wine in a Sofia pub. Jack has also published several critically acclaimed collections of short stories and is a tireless activist for the Arts in Ireland.
The night kicks off at 7pm and all are welcome. Entry is free, though a donation is encouraged! Hope to see you there.
